Resilience & Intelligence

Major global risk events related to the COVID-19 pandemic,
a growing cyber threat landscape, faltering economies, crime, geopolitics and wars have reaffirmed the need to prepare for and mitigate against long-term, sustained business disruption.

For executives charged with risk management, the global threat environment poses new and unique challenges, while also creating new opportunities to protect the value of the organization, take new risks and lead resilient, transformative businesses. Enterprise resilience is ultimately a business enabler and a driver for growth and innovation.

The Teneo Resilience & Intelligence team takes a unique approach to supporting clients across a range of risks. We uncover and analyze critical intelligence and weave that knowledge into all facets of a sustainable and mature enterprise resilience system.  Our goal is to enable executives to be more proactive with risk mitigation and make decisions with greater confidence.

Our team engages with C-suite executives to design and deliver resilience programs which inform strategic decision-making and enable organizations to confidently manage a range of risks and potential crises that threaten resilience.  We also partner with our clients during live crisis events and guide the client through their response, with the goal of minimizing disruption to the organization.

Teneo’s Resilience & Intelligence experts have decades of experience leading intelligence agencies, consultancies and public safety agencies. They have been first-hand practitioners in security and crisis situations or have served as leaders in senior risk and resilience roles.

We have designed our Resilience & Intelligence services based on best practices and to meet the demands of today’s enterprise risk challenges.

Over the past 55 years I have worked extensively and successfully in both the corporate and public safety arenas addressing constantly evolving crime and risk threats in both sectors, while working to ensure the necessary collaboration to successfully mitigate those risks. As Executive Chair of Teneo Risk, my role is to ensure that our skilled team of subject matter experts continually provides industry leading anticipatory intelligence initiatives to meet the constantly changing and expanding 21st Century threat scenarios.

Rapid advancements in technology, including generative AI, have created a digital environment ripe for the creation and propagation of mis- and disinformation campaigns that fuel and exacerbate existing polarized discourse and inflame global reactions to geopolitical conflicts. I worry that this environment will only further fuel extremism and instability, and present challenges to organizations and leaders in both the public and private sectors.

It is impossible to predict every potential threat facing an organization. It is however, possible and imperative that companies take the necessary steps to assess and prepare for risk by inventorying critical assets, determining tolerance for risk and business disruption, and prioritizing crisis preparedness activities. Risk will always be a fundamental part of running a business – it’s how you set up the organization to thrive, grow and innovate despite risk.
