Omar Kirklar is Senior Vice President with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in Dubai.
Omar has over 18 years of working experience across the GCC region with a focus on financial and investment management, private equity and venture capital, corporate finance, restructurings and M&A projects management. Currently, he is working on strategic and financial communications mandates supporting clients on different challenges and advising them on their on-going investor relations matters and engagements with the investment community at large.
Prior to joining Teneo and shifting into the Strategy and Communications sector, he was based in Qatar and has executed mandates related to private equity and distressed assets management, corporate finance advisory, strategic M&As, divestures, voluntarily liquidation and bankruptcy with the main objective of realising operational and financial optimisation, shareholder’s value creation and investment interest maximisation.
Additionally, he has solely led the incorporation of Qatar’s first independent and regulated venture capital fund manager and held the position of Chief Financial Officer since commencement of company’s incorporation process until the date he joined Teneo.
Omar holds a BSc degree in accounting from Aleppo University – Syria and currently is CFA level II candidate.
