Lauren Chung is an international relations and communications strategist, and the CEO of Teneo’s Asia-Pacific Strategy & Communications business. She sits on the firm’s global management committee.
Lauren leads the firm’s Asia Pacific Strategy & Communications business, which focuses on solving for the most high-stakes reputation and business challenges through strategy and communications consulting solutions. Markets under her purview include Japan, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore and Australia.
Lauren is an advisor to corporate boards, CEOs, investors, and sovereign and civil society leaders on achieving their strategic goals and enhancing their reputation, while also navigating economic, political, geostrategic, regulatory, media, social, technological and environmental change.
Lauren is the incoming Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council (GFC) on Trade and Investment, which is dedicated to examining how trade governance can be reimagined and redefined to create sustainable, resilient and equitable companies, economies and societies. She has also been appointed by His Majesty, King of Bhutan, to the Board of the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), a pioneering initiative creating an urban environment centered around mindfulness, sustainability and innovation in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Lauren is a Board Director of The Fred Hollows Foundation (Asia) and sits on a Board Committee for Mother’s Choice.
Lauren attended INSEAD and completed an eMBA degree and holds a postgraduate degree at Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts.
Lauren is Australian and currently resides in Hong Kong SAR. Lauren speaks conversational Mandarin.
