Kowther Bouali is a Manager with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business, based in Riyadh.
Kowther joined Teneo in January 2024, bringing with her valuable experience from her previous role at Bank Saudi Fransi. At Bank Saudi Fransi, Kowther was a member of the Debt Restructuring Team within the Special Assets Division. In this capacity, she successfully managed a diverse portfolio of distressed clients and played a key role in executing restructuring deals.
Kowther’s expertise extends to working with companies undergoing Financial Restructuring Procedure (FRP) under the bankruptcy law, enabling her to develop a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in leading restructuring transactions in the Saudi market.
Before joining the Debt Restructuring team, Kowther participated in the Bankers Associate Program, where she underwent comprehensive on-the-job training in Corporate Banking, Project Finance, Risk Management, and Treasury. This program equipped her with a well-rounded understanding of various aspects of banking operations.
Kowther holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in International Finance from Dublin City University, further strengthening her academic foundation in the field of finance.
Selected Project Experience:
- Supported the successful restructuring of a syndicated facility worth SAR 6 billion for a prominent contracting company in the Saudi market and introduced innovative financial instruments, such as perpetual sukuk, for the first time in the region.
- Played a key role in handling insolvency restructuring cases for wholesale retail and manufacturing sectors, leveraging the Saudi Bankruptcy law to protect the interests of all stakeholders involved.
- Successfully restructured the debt portfolios of various private banking clients, providing them with tailored solutions to alleviate financial pressures and enhance their financial stability.
- Provided valuable support in implementing a debt restructuring strategy for a poultry company, optimizing its debt settlement process and paving the way for its sustainable growth.
