Julian Moroney has over 22 years of experience in professional services, focusing on insolvency, restructuring, Corporate and Commercial Banking and Private Equity.

Julian has substantial formal insolvency experience acting as IP and leading large complex insolvency engagements. He has also led on a number of large out of court advisory engagements, complex litigations, and corporate transactions.

Julian joined Teneo in September 2022 from an Irish boutique insolvency firm where he was a Director of insolvency and restructuring. Prior to that Julian spent over ten years working in several Irish Banks.

Selected Project Experience:

• Appointed liquidator by several large multinational groups to support and effect Group simplification strategies.
• Oil Company trading in the Middle East – Lead in the liquidation of an Irish Registered Company that operated in the Middle East. Successfully settled with the Guernsey based Trust Company.
• Opticians – Lead on the the successful Examinership of a chain of Opticians in Ireland.
• Lead on over 300 liquidations, Creditors Voluntary and Court Liquidations across all sectors in Ireland.
• Advisor for an Irish Bank in the acquisition of a performing asset backed loan book. Value of c€500m.
• Head of real estate team responsible for the enforcement of a €500m distressed loan book for a UK bank that was exiting the Irish Bank.
• Led over 200 receivership appointments both fixed asset and trading on behalf of Bank and Secondary Lender.
