Gemma Kavanagh is a senior communications director with 18 years’ experience in corporate communications and content marketing in Ireland, the UK, Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Gemma specialises in all facets of the technology sector with a strong focus in the area of B2B communications and issues management. She also has extensive experience working for clients in the areas of professional services, transport & logistics and education. She joined Teneo in Dublin in May 2020 as a Director in the Strategy & Communications team, and has worked with brands including TikTok, Samsung, EY, Microsoft, Digital Realty, Just Eat Takeaway and Analog Devices during that time.

Gemma has advised, developed and led integrated communications campaigns for some of the world’s most innovative brands.

Before joining Teneo, Gemma worked in Australia for 12 years at LEWIS – a fully integrated PR & digital marketing agency. While based in Sydney she held a number of senior roles including Managing Director of LEWIS’ Australian business, Head of Technology Clients, Asia Pacific and Client Engagement Director, Asia Pacific. Gemma started her career in communications in Dublin & London.

Gemma holds a Masters (Hons) in Public Relations from TU Dublin (formerly DIT), a Higher Diploma in Education (Hons) from UCD, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) specialising in English & Geography from NUIM.
