Duncan Sherriffs is a Senior Managing Director with Teneo’s Financial Advisory business, based in London. He leads Teneo’s Debt Capital Markets Advisory offering and brings over 20 years of debt capital market experience as both an advisor and principal.

Duncan has worked across a range of clients from listed to private and debt products including leveraged and structured finance, debt capital markets, asset based, and investment grade. Duncan focuses on advising clients on complex refinancings and debt raises across a range of situations where mainstream solutions may not be adequate or appropriate. He works on financing for corporate carve-outs, storied credits, challenging M&A and new money raises across difficult sectors where more innovative solutions are required. Along with experience in positive financing mandates, he has significant experience advising in stressed and distressed situations on refinancing and covenant amendments/waivers.

Prior to Teneo, Duncan was a Managing Director in the Capital Solutions Group at Stifel over the last two years. Before joining Stifel, he ran his own advisory boutique (which Stifel acquired) and previously spent 12 years in the Leveraged Finance team at M&G Investments. While at M&G, Duncan originated, diligenced, structured and executed 200+ debt transactions investing across the entire European private debt spectrum, covering various sectors and jurisdictions. He was a voting member of the Investment Committee as the business grew from €1bn to €10bn AUM. Prior to that he was an investment banker at JPMorgan.
