David Cagno is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Risk Advisory business and oversees the Public Safety Advisory practice.

David also supports clients on matters of security, intelligence, emergency planning, and prevention. David has extensive experience partnering with external business partners and local, state, federal and private agencies to share information and align and achieve mutual goals.

Prior to joining Teneo, David spent over 23 years with the New York City Police Department, serving as an accomplished NYPD Lieutenant Detective Commander, holding full investigative and operational command responsibility. David has extensive knowledge and experience directing and investigating Strictly Confidential complex criminal investigations, including financial crimes. David received a B.A in Criminal Justice from Excelsior College and is a member of ACAMS.
