
David Bishop
David Bishop is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in Dubai.
David focuses on government communications in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. He has spent over 10 years in the Middle East, building and leading communications teams, and advising senior government leaders.
Before joining Teneo, David spent four years as a Partner at Consulum, a strategic advisory firm focused on governments. During his time with the company, David advised leaders across Saudi Arabia, including government ministers and members of the Royal Court. Prior to Consulum, David was Director of Communications at Expo 2020 Dubai, leading the delivery of a long-term communications strategy for the event, building Expo’s communications function, supporting the development of an international brand with engaging communications and content, as well as enhancing the UAE’s international reputation and national brand.
Prior to joining Expo 2020 Dubai, David was head of Strategy at VisitBritain, the UK’s national tourism agency. He authored the Britain Tourism Strategy, published in early 2013, which sets out a bold target of attracting 40 million overseas visitors a year, through a combination of marketing, product development, targeting a balanced portfolio of overseas markets, and addressing access issues such as aviation capacity and visas. Before VisitBritain, David worked in the aviation and maritime sectors in policy roles.
David graduated from the University of Oxford in 2005 with a degree in Modern History.
