Tok Chong Yap is a Managing Director with Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business, based in Singapore.

Trained in the disciplines of Economics and Law, Chong Yap started his career in broking as a research analyst in Hong Kong. He specialises in advising C-suites and board members from corporations in Singapore and Southeast Asia on strategic and complex board room issues. Chong Yap has a focus on transactions and financial communications advisory, ranging from mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring to equity and debt fund-raising. He also advises his clients on their corporate development and critical issues management from a reputation and stakeholder relations perspective.

Chong Yap is currently based in Singapore and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Over the years, he has led multiple award-winning transaction and investor relations campaigns in the region across a range of sectors in real estate, manufacturing, media, healthcare and financial services among others.

Chong Yap received his honours degree in Economics at the University of Manchester and honours degree in Economics and Law at the University of Leicester.
