Bret Kadison is Senior Vice President of Energy and Climate Innovation at Teneo. In this role, Bret advises decision-makers across the energy and clean tech ecosystems – including investors, suppliers, and users - on harnessing opportunities and managing risks associated with the energy transition and climate change.
Before joining Teneo, Bret advised energy & industrial firms and family offices on energy transition and corporate strategies through his consultancy, Relentless Energies. He previously served as COO / CFO at Arva Intelligence, a nature-based carbon sequestration and precision agriculture firm, and at Brazos Resources, a diversified investment firm with energy, real estate, and other venture investments, where he led energy their energy transition strategy.
Under President Obama, he served as Financial Market Development Lead at the U.S. Department of Energy and as Policy Advisor at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. In these roles, he led efforts to establish secondary financial markets for renewable energy and energy efficiency and to bolster the competitiveness of U.S. advanced energy exports. Before joining the Department of Energy, Bret advised foreign and domestic utilities on integrating energy efficiency and distributed renewable generation strategies into their business models.
Bret received a BBA in Finance from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
