Arjan Keshavarz is a Director in Teneo’s Strategy & Communications team in London. He advises on crisis and issues management, and has helped clients manage their reputations around major incidents, legal proceedings, restructuring, sports events, and issues relating to geopolitical risk.

Arjan joined Teneo in 2021, bringing a decade’s experience advising multinational organisations including some of the world’s largest marine shipping and oil and gas companies. Working across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, he has responded to operational emergencies and communications challenges in environments ranging from conflict zones to highly regulated business environments, combining experience in political, reputational and security risk to deliver breadth of counsel to clients facing complex issues.

From 2015 to 2016, Arjan led capacity-building projects in Somalia, working with the Federal Government and British Embassy in Mogadishu to reform elements of the national security forces and develop a joint command centre for operations and crisis response.

Arjan’s former career was in the UK’s Royal Marines, serving on operations in Afghanistan, the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean. He holds a master’s degree in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics.
