Alexander Schnieders is Co-Head of M&A, Financial Advisory with Teneo.

Prior to joining Teneo, Alexander was a Managing Director in the U.S. Financial Institutions Group at Perella Weinberg Partners (2012-2016) and a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs & Co., and co-head of its U.S. Insurance M&A Team (2001-2012). In these capacities, Mr. Schnieders was responsible for sourcing and executing M&A insurance transactions and providing broad coverage for life and property & casualty insurance clients. Over the course of his 18 years of investment banking experience, Alexander has managed over 50 transactions valued at over $25 billion, including M&A, IPOs, fairness opinions, and senior debt placements.

Alexander received a bachelor’s degree in history and literature, magna cum laude, from Harvard College, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Alexander speaks German, French and Spanish.
