May will also work closely with Teneo’s leaders across more than 40 offices to ensure a seamless global experience for clients.

“May joins Teneo as the breadth of opportunities and challenges we see in the global economy continue to disrupt established business models. Her cross-disciplinary consulting expertise positions her well to guide our clients in Asia Pacific through strategic, leadership and operational changes. We are delighted to have someone of May’s calibre and local expertise join Teneo,” said Paul Keary, CEO of Teneo.

“May is an industry veteran with three decades of experience advising companies and their leaders across strategy, operations, organisational design and people and leadership agendas,” said Lauren Chung, CEO, Asia Pacific Strategy and Communications, Teneo. “I am thrilled to partner with May and leverage her deep APAC knowledge to deliver Teneo’s integrated advisory model to our clients across the region.”

“I’m excited to return to Asia Pacific to join Teneo,” commented May Knight. “The team is partnering with global leaders to build dynamic businesses across a region that is experiencing rapid economic growth amid increasingly complex geopolitical conditions.”

May joins Teneo from Korn Ferry, where she served as Senior Partner, Global Financial Services, based in London. Prior to that, she spent more than six years as President of Korn Ferry Advisory Asia Pacific, where she was responsible for 28 offices across 14 markets in the region and delivered a range of CEO succession and leadership development advisory. May was previously Managing Director and insurance industry sector leader at Accenture and a Partner at Ernst & Young. In these roles, she advised Financial Services clients on strategy, organisation design, digital transformation and M&A.

Since 2021, May has served as an Independent Non-Executive Director for HSBC Group’s global insurance business, comprising HSBC Insurance (Asia) and HSBC Life International. She is the Chairman of the Board’s Risk Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and With Profit & Investment Committee.
