Emily Stromquist Joins Teneo as a Managing Director



Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Emily Stromquist as a Managing Director in the Washington D.C. Office.

Emily Stromquist has over a decade of experience advising corporate and financial services clients on energy markets and political risk, and has lived and worked across Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Previously, Emily was a senior energy analyst at Eurasia Group, where she led coverage on energy market trends in Europe and Eurasia. She then joined the International Energy Agency (IEA) as a Program Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa and Russia. In this capacity, she oversaw the development of the IEA’s engagements and joint work with these respective governments on a range of energy access, security, and clean energy transitions issues.

Most recently, Emily has worked at several Middle East-focused risk advisory startups, advising clients on global trends in decarbonization and clean energy transitions, and their impacts on a range of policy, economic, and investment trends in the region.  Emily speaks Russian and French, holds an M.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
