Dr. Christine Loh Joins Teneo as a Senior Advisor
Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Dr. Christine Loh as a Senior Advisor.
Dr. Loh brings a wealth of experience in the public and private sectors and will help Teneo’s clients to better understand, navigate and respond to the changing policy and business landscape as it relates to China’s climate, environment and sustainability agendas.
Prior to joining Teneo, Dr. Loh served as Hong Kong’s Undersecretary for the Environment from 2012 to 2017 and was a Hong Kong Legislative Council member from 1992 to 1997 and 1998 to 2000. She founded Civic Exchange, a non-profit policy think tank, in 2001 and served as its CEO through 2012.
Commenting on her appointment, Dr. Loh said, “I am thrilled to join Teneo as a Senior Advisor. Together we will help Teneo’s clients understand and stay ahead of the political, social and economic factors that determine the operating environment for companies in China, with a specific emphasis on climate and sustainability.”
In addition to her work with Teneo, Dr. Loh is Chief Development Strategist at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and teaches at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California at Los Angeles. She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Robert HN Ho Family Foundation, CDP Worldwide, the Global Maritime Forum and New Forests Pty Ltd. She is also a member of the BASF Stakeholder Advisory Counsel and an advisor to HSBC’s Climate Advisory Panel.
Dr. Loh spent her early career as a commodities trader. She held regional leadership positions at Philipp Brothers and Phibro Energy – the physical commodities trading arms of US multinational Salomon, Inc. (now Citicorp) – before joining CIM Co. She then went on to a successful career in politics.
