London Adopts a Charity
Teneo London supports charitable causes through a three year partnership with a democratically selected charity. This charity, selected through a consultation process with employees, is supported by the business exclusively for three year period through a combination of fundraising and pro-bono support.
In September 2019 the businesses three year partnership with childhood cancer charity CLIC Sargent came to an end, and the company opened the selection process for a new charity partner. After taking recommendations from the whole London office and Consulting colleagues, a shortlist of five charities were selected and invited to pitch for the businesses support on Thursday 5th December. Following the pitch process, the company voted and selected Tommy's as Teneo London's new charity partner.
Partnership with Tommy's (2020-2023)
Tommy’s funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy or birth. They want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
Partnership with CLIC Sargent (2016-2019)
CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. During the partnership, Teneo London supported the charity with media strategy and political council ahead of their biggest media moment of the year: Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Over the three year period we also raised over £38,000 through a combination of large scale endurance events (including 50 employees running a Tough Mudder!) and smaller in-office activities (like a world food buffet and a hummus making competition). The majority of the funds are now being used to rebuild parts of their principle respite care home Paul’s House, which houses families whose children are undergoing intensive cancer treatment at any of London’s
Partnership with the Rainbow Trust (2012-2015)
Rainbow Trust Children's Charity provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. Teneo London helped raise the charity’s profile through providing council on their media engagement strategy and increasing media coverage of their activities. Teneo London also raised money for the charity through a series of activities including sponsored walks (embarking on the gruelling Thames Path Challenge, with some employees walking 100km non-stop) and sky diving, achieving a grand total of over £36,000 in the three year period.
