Description
A Senior Vice President within Teneo’s Strategy and Communications business is a pivotal member of our account teams. Senior Vice Presidents are responsible for executing strategic programs and communications initiatives in support of Teneo’s clients. This individual should have extensive exposure to capital markets and IPOs and be fluent in financial communications. They will be client-facing, assist with business development initiatives, provide leadership to junior teams, and have extensive experience with IPOs and other strategic situation communications, including M&A and shareholder activism. They will work closely with Account Leaders and teams to deliver best-in-class service and function as a cohesive unit.
Responsibilities
- Manages complex strategic financial communications planning and execution for IPOs and capital markets events
- Demonstrates an understanding of key business drivers for current and potential clients’ communications strategies/solutions accordingly
- Manage day-to-day account work of producing and refining deliverables – including strategic plans, messaging documents, press releases, talking points, scripts, presentations, Q&A, briefing memos
- Executes against team objectives and plans as a reliable, adaptable resource for senior team members capable of overseeing others
- Fosters an environment in which commitment to quality and client satisfaction is a top priority; leads Teneo to effectively respond to emerging client trends and requests
- Works effectively with Teneo senior management to help identify client needs and works with other Teneo operating divisions to address them in an integrated team effort
Qualifications
- Experience managing complex, large-scale client engagements across stakeholder groups
- Financial acumen and understanding of IPOs, as well as more broadly financial and capital markets
- Ability to think creatively, approach communications from new angles, and handle both day-to-day account work and one-off client asks
- Suggested work experience: 8+ years of financial communications or relevant experience, with a focus on IPO and transaction communications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Available to work from our New York City office, with a minimum of three days in the office

Base Salary Range
$170,000 - $190,000 (compensation for this role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience that may fall outside of the range listed).

Flexible Work Policy
Teneo believes in in-person collaboration when possible and if you are assigned to the New York office, the company expectation is for employees to work from the office location a minimum of three times a week.
