The Role

A Practice Manager at Teneo People Advisory will play an important role in supporting the growth of the UK business through seamless process management across People Advisory.  The Practice Manager is responsible for supporting up to two practices, through exceptional time management, business development support, and helping to align processes amongst other teams. 

 

 
 

Responsibilities

Practice Co-ordination

  • Supporting two Senior Managing Directors and/or Managing Directors, including management of inbox and calendar and responding to emails/make decisions on their behalf
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of the practice including assignments, business development and project work and practice events.
  • Helps maintain focus on our key objectives including DE&I.

  • Responsible for all diary management and meeting administration, from scheduling to documentation presentation
  • Responsible for management of internal documentation, action lists, agendas, meeting documentation, mailing lists, arranging travel.
  • Assists with the project management of SMD/MDs and helps them by developing timelines, bringing in required resources or skills and ensuring the smooth-running of the project.

Client Liaison and Assignment Administration

  • Supports the practice team directly with clients and their teams, providing first point of contact to clients and candidates
  • Builds key relationships and knowledge of clients, candidates, and counterpart PMs
  • Pitch preparation and associated tasks
  • Assists with assignment management, working with the team to ensure that process and timescales are adhered to.
  • Arranging candidate and client interviews and ensuring highest levels of candidate care and provision of all relevant information background for example biographies, job specs to candidates and CVs to clients.

 

 

General shared duties with support team

  • Assisting (with other PMs) with the organisation of Teneo People Advisory internal and external events
  • Support other PMs during times of leave or sickness
  • Assist with training for new employees on best practice, standard processes, documentation and relevant systems.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing a busy practice
  • Experience supporting business leaders in senior management roles, ideally in a consultancy or executive search environment
  • Development of high-quality documents i.e. credentials/agendas/letters
  • Point of contact when business leaders are unavailable – dealing with senior contacts on their behalf
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and delivers high-quality client ready work
  • Management of business-sensitive information in a professional manner while maintaining highest levels of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated teamwork with colleagues and participating in support team meetings or events to enhance the office environment
  • Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • Support a learning culture and play an active role in sharing knowledge and insight, as well as attending relevant training
  • Is committed, enthusiastic and creates an environment which reflects the importance of our relentless focus on clients
  • Ability to become quickly familiar with the Teneo brand and quality guidelines, administrative processes and internal systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an advanced level
