As Teneo's Technology Resilience Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the firm's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) program, with the long-term goal of achieving ISO 22301 certification. Reporting to the Global Head of Information Security, you will work closely with the information security team, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute a resilience roadmap aligned with Teneo's business objectives.
Your primary responsibility will be to build the BC/DR program from the ground up, including conducting business impact analyses, developing BC/DR plans and strategies, and implementing necessary controls and processes to ensure the organisation's resilience. You will also be responsible for testing and maintaining the BC/DR plans, as well as coordinating training and awareness programs for employees.
As the Technology Resilience Manager, you will have a deep understanding of BC/DR best practices, standards, and frameworks, particularly ISO 22301. You will establish policies, procedures, and controls to ensure Teneo maintains a robust and effective BC/DR program. You will also be responsible for managing resilience-related risks, monitoring the BC/DR posture, and reporting on the status of the program to senior leadership.
As the Technology Resilience Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for communicating Teneo's BC/DR capabilities to external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and auditors. This will involve translating complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused language, and addressing any questions or concerns raised by external parties. Your ability to effectively communicate the value and maturity of Teneo's BC/DR program will be crucial in building trust and confidence among our clients and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive BC/DR program aligned with ISO 22301 requirements
- Conduct business impact analyses to identify critical business processes and systems
- Develop and maintain BC/DR plans, strategies, and procedures
- Work closely with the information security team and other stakeholders to implement technical controls and solutions to support BC/DR capabilities
- Conduct regular testing and exercises to validate the effectiveness of BC/DR plans
- Coordinate training and awareness programs for employees on BC/DR procedures and their responsibilities
- Manage resilience-related risks and conduct risk assessments
- Monitor the organisation's BC/DR posture and conduct regular internal audits
- Report on the status of the BC/DR program to senior leadership and key stakeholders- Stay up to date with changes in BC/DR standards and best practices and adjust the program accordingly
Key Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery roles
- Deep knowledge of ISO 22301, NIST 800-34, and other relevant BC/DR standards and frameworks
- Experience building and implementing BC/DR programs from the ground up
- Understanding of risk management principles and experience conducting risk assessments
- Knowledge of information security technologies and controls related to BC/DR
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex BC/DR requirements into actionable plans
- Relevant certifications such as CBCI, MBCI, FBCI, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer are highly desirable
- Degree in information technology, business continuity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
