The Role
We are looking for a strategically-minded EU affairs consultant to join our team in Brussels. We are particularly interested in candidates who understand the dynamics of corporate communications structures, have a knack for understanding audiences and crafting concise, compelling, and impactful messages, and have worked with media across paid, earned, owned, and shared channels. The candidate should feel comfortable working across a range of topics. Experience in the regulatory dynamics in the EU related to the consumer goods, pharma, and healthcare sectors would be an advantage.
Client work relating to EU policy will be central to the role, but there will be ample opportunity to be involved in Teneo’s broader suite of offers, including working with our experts in strategic communications across our European and global offices. This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in EU affairs and some experience in communications. - Ability to produce C-suite quality advisory and written support documents
- Ensuring high quality standards in project, client and document management
- Ability to demonstrate or effectively acquire in-depth knowledge of our clients' business and industries
- Strong team-player with an ability to communicate effectively internally and proactively manage the coordination of deadlines to support the whole team
- Recognising and using options to market Teneo's differentiated approach and wide range of consulting
- Initiative and willingness to take on tasks for the team
Skills & Experience required
- University degree, and minimum 3-4 years of professional experience in policy and/or consulting
- Interest in current affairs
- Positive, flexible and ambitious team player
- Business fluent and excellent written English
- Contributes to a positive and highly professional atmosphere with a can-do attitude, always focused on pre-empting issues and being solutions oriented
- Acts with discretion, integrity and professionalism at all times
- Calm under pressure, committed, and enthusiastic
