The Role

As a Senior Consultant in the European Coverage Financial Advisory team you will have the opportunity to use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients. 

The Financial Advisory Team at Teneo

The European Coverage team has significant experience in numerous high profile financial restructuring transactions across the European region and plans to grow, offering you the scope to work with colleagues and clients internationally.

 Key Skills & Experience

  • Display a high level of commercial acumen and an awareness of the key drivers of corporate failure or underperformance
  • Proficient in detailed financial and commercial analysis and able to identify potential areas of sensitivity
  • Able to identify key issues on assignments and suggest workable solutions
  • Experienced in presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Understanding of basic corporate finance principles, including different valuation theories, methodologies and applications
  • Ability to read and comprehend financial and legal documentation
  • Appreciation of risks inherent in advising distressed businesses and their stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Excel modelling skills and MS PowerPoint presentation preparations skills
  • Bachelor/master’s degree
  • Acts with discretion, integrity and professionalism at all times and is a key source of support for more senior individuals
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills across all levels of people
  • Seen as a cooperative team player willing to resolve issues for the good of all
  • Proactively takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and is calm under pressure
  • Positive outlook, seen as committed and enthusiastic, and shows initiative and adopts a proactive approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (additional European language skills. e.g. German is a plus)
